A not-for-profit using BlackBaud Raisers Edge had a complicated Fund, Campaign & Appeal structure. Data entry was convoluted resulting in unreliable reporting & making reconciliation to Finance systems a lengthy & problematic process. Using a free version of SQL Server as a data staging area alongside Raisers Edge import/export & global updating, the Fund, Campaign & Appeal approach is now restructured, with Appeal Categories aligned to Finance Nominal codes & supporting documentation ensuring all users are aligned. Historical Gifts, portal imports, reconciliation processes & reporting all updated to the new structure streamlining ongoing use.
